Ken’s process

Video became an important part of Showell’s creative process. Below is raw Hi-8 videotape shot by Showell placed next photos of some of the paintings, pastels and drawings he created from them.

A promotional video produced in the early 2000’s showcases his work, set to Autumn Leaves, from the album Somethin’ Else, featuring Cannonball Adderly, Miles Davis, Hank Jones, Sam Jones, and Art Blakey.
